The second trial was carried out on two BMW 325’s and two Mercedes C220’s.
The trial involved each car having to cover over 80000kms. The cars were ran 24hrs a day 7-days a week using FIS drivers which meant that it only took just under 11 weeks to complete the trial!
During the trial, oil samples were taken and analysed and at the end of the test each engine was stripped and rated. Our findings were then past on to the manufacturer for their approval.The engines were rebuilt with new parts and the cars were used on a further 80000kms trial.
